    Finally The Truth From Obama!

I wonder how many Americans have ever heard the old saying “The truth hurts doesn’t it”?  The fact is that saying has seldom rang truer then it did this past weekend the President Obama began feeling a bit over confident, while surrounded by carefully selected drooling supporters, went off the script and let his true feeling shine through.  During a campaign speech in Roanoke, VA this past friday the President was spewing his socialist rhetoric, talking point by talkng point, when he said this:

“There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back.  They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own.  You didn’t get there on your own.  I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart.  There are a lot of smart people out there.  It must be because I worked harder than everybody else.  Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.  (Applause.)

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help.  There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.  Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive.  Somebody invested in roads and bridges.  If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.  Somebody else made that happen.  The Internet didn’t get invented on its own.  Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together.”

You can find the full speech here, and I recommend you read it for yourself.  Now, I have heard all the talking heads on the left come out and try and defend this, spin this, twist this, and generally try their best to make it go away.  I will tell you know that they have failed.  Is there a bit of reading into it involved?  Of course there is, not even President Obama brave enough to come straight out with the truth and reveal his ideology clearly and directly.  The only way we have been able to recognize where he is taking America is to slowly piece together his life and ideas because the media chose to not vett him in 2008.  While the clues are always there and his actions are in line with his grand plan, it’s rare that we ever get the truth this raw and revealing.  These comments were from his heart not from his script.  He was caught in the moment, hearing the cheers, seeing the sea of undying supporters and it just gushed out.  The mere fact that the audience did gasp in disbelief is simply due to the fact they they are complete brainwashed with his aura and don’t listen to what they hear.  Fortunately for America millions of sensible minded people, who haven’t drank the kool aid, did hear it and are not just gonna let it go, me included.

The fact is that President Obama is leading the charge of taking away our freedom and replacing it with dependency.  The goal, as I see it, is to replace initiative with expectancy by under-minding the foundations that America was built on.  Under this regime the term “successful” is no longer something to strive for or be proud of, instead its being twisted into some kind of despicable outcast that lied, cheated, and stole their way to the top.  The saddest part may be that if people would take the blinders off for a few minutes they could all clearly see that this “recession” that President Obama blaming on “successful” people is being worsened by his actions and making their own lives worth.  It’s the most basic principle of control used by dictators for centuries.  The way to control a population is to take away everything they have, make society suffer, and them give them back less then they had before but just enough to make them think you took care of them.  People no longer strive to be self sufficient, because that’s hard, it’s easier to take then to earn.  The leader then turns the pack on those who stand alone on their own two feet because they are now viewed as a threat not a “success”.  Look around and you will see it happening everyday.

I can only hope that there are still enough Americans who are willing to see through the spin and stand up on the right side and take back the country before it’s too late.

Tell ME Why I “Should” Not Why I “Shouldn’t”

I am getting pretty much fed up with a lot of the chatter from both sides in recent times and know that unfortunately it’s only going to get worse.  The current trend dictates that the way you win in politics in general is entirely t0o negative and too focused on the dark side.  I understand that this has been in play historically since the first elections men ever held, however it’s different now.  The emergence of technology and social media has allowed the doom dealers to inundate us with trash message after trash message.  The campaigns then turn around and ask for more donations because to pay for more of the same.  I guess the only upside is that it is good for the tv and radio business to generate revenue.

I am of the opinion, and I have lots of them, that if you want to get the best possible reaction from me then you should focus on telling my why I “should” vote for you instead of why I “shouldn’t” vote for the other guy.  I want you to earn my vote and my respect and not try and get it by default because there are only two to chose from.  I expect a candidate for any post, but especially POTUS, to be able to look me in the eye and convince me why he is the best man for the job.  I know that seems like a novel idea in these modern times but it is the standard I hold myself too and expect from others.  I have a feeling that you may be surprised with the results.

“Transparent” Democrats Call For Romney Tax Returns

I have heard a lot of banter today from Democrats and Liberals calling for Mitt Romney to produce more tax returns so they can examine his reported “offshore” accounts.  It was clear as day that the intent behind this is not because they really think he may be ducking the IRS, but instead because it gives them a few more days to fill the airwaves with anything other then President Obama’s dreadful economy.

I do not feel that Mitt Romney should be obligated to provide any additional disclosure other then what is required by law.  If the Washington Politicians don’t like the law then they can change it, they are in Congress after all.  Some will say that Romney should put them out to quell the murmurs because failing to do so only makes people wonder what he may or may not be hiding.  I think that will probably be the consensus, even if it is behind closed doors.

Here is my advice to Mitt.  I will be looking for you to take this chance to make a clear and concise decision and act.  If you are going to release them then do it tomorrow, put it all out there and kill the accusations.  The worst thing that he can do is to avoid, deny, and stall for three weeks while the Dems continue to hammering on it and then give into the pressure.  On the flip side, if he chooses not to release them then stand your ground and be firm in that declaration and stay on message.  Keep the focus on what the real issues are and every time the question comes up tell the reporter that he is focused on moving forward and creating jobs and replacing the failed Obama policies.

Either way he chooses to go I want it fast and confident because that’s the kinda leader I can support.

Time To Refocus And Move On

This is going to be my last post for awhile with regards to Obamacare unless something new and dramatic comes to light.  I can only wish that it was the last time I was going to hear about it until after the election though.  Let me be clear I do not support Obamacare as I strongly believe it is bad policy and economically devastating to our country.  However, that does not change the fact that the law, while awful, is constitutional and is going to move forward, for now.  Rep Boehner, House Majority Leader, has indicated that the House will hold a full repeal vote, again, on 11 July.  The House will no doubt pass the repeal vote on a party line vote.  Shortly after that vote it will go across the hall and fall into the abyss in the Senate.  It will never see the light of day, and without a good alternative, nor should it.

It has been reported that this will be the 31st time the House will have voted to either repeal, de-fund, or some other way defeat Obamacare.  I can appreciate determination and persistence however, in this case, with it known to be a dead bill I see no reason to waste time.  Voters are not going to be anymore impressed by a Republican claiming to have voted against Obamacare 10 or 20 or even 50 times, it sucks we get it.  On the other hand, what voters like me will be annoyed by is the perception of time wasting by the Congress on frivolous bills that are not helping our country recover in any way.  I have no doubt there is a long list of high priority issues that could, and should be, addressed now rather then beating this dead horse.  Let’s work on jobs, economy, taxes, foreign policy or any other thing in the long list.  I am as frustrated and mind boggled by the failure of our Congress as anyone.
